We have presented proposals from civil society organizations to the political parties that will be running in the 15th Saeima elections, which we developed together with member organizations and their associations in order to strengthen security, national development, and prosperity. The parties are actively responding and inviting us to discussions to review the developed proposals, promoting a balanced and inclusive dialogue and listening to the needs of society.
We have met with Nacionālā apvienība “Visu Latvijai!”–“Tēvzemei un Brīvībai/LNNK”, “Latvijas attīstībai”, and “Progresīvie”. We are open to discussions with other political parties as well.
Last week we met with Kustība “Par!” to discuss the role of civil society and its importance in strengthening a democratic state. This week we will meet with the Jaunā Vienotība.
Civil society is a key pillar of a country’s internal security, democracy, and sustainable development. Therefore, our set of proposals offers practical, society-based solutions that we invite political parties and their alliances to include in their election programmes. To ensure successful implementation of these proposals, politicians are encouraged to closely cooperate with civil society organizations, which can provide significant contributions through their knowledge and experience.
