The PLECS Foundation, in cooperation with the Swedbank Institute of Finance, the Ministry of Welfare and the State Social Insurance Agency (SSAA), is pleased to announce the update of the benefit calculator for adopters, guardians and foster families. This tool has been developed to support and encourage more families in Latvia to take care of children left without parental care.The Benefit Calculator is a user-friendly tool that offers detailed information on the financial support available from the State. It is designed to simplify and make more accessible information on the different types of benefits and support available when considering or planning to adopt, foster or adopt a child. The tool makes it quick and easy to get information on the benefits available depending on the family's situation, by entering data on family income, number of dependent and intended children and other relevant parameters.
