With the support of the Active Citizens Fund (ACF), Ascendum is launching a large-scale information campaign across Latvia, providing a fresh perspective on the ways of civic engagement and practical ways to take your frustrations and start positive change in your neighbourhood, community and society at large. From  March 17, on Sunday afternoons at 14.55 LTV1 and Replay.lv will show how everyone can implement the principles of democracy in their daily lives. The host of the series " Kas te nenotiek!?”  produced by the independent producer "Ausma Media" Ltd., Ufo.

"Are you complaining? Do you like to murmur, fret, get wound up? That's good because it means you care, and democracy can provide tools for anyone who cares to improve their own and their fellow humans' lives!" say the campaign's organisers.

More insights into the twists and turns of practicing democracy will be explained in an attractive way in "Sūdzambībele" - an ambitious resource in plain language on how to go from complaint to positive action. At the same time, the ideas of the campaign will also be highlighted in visual materials that will be available on the streets, in the press, in post offices and on the social media channels of the campaigners and ambassadors until 30 April. In addition to the media campaign, a methodological tool on civic engagement for secondary schools will be developed, which, like the " Sūdzambībele ", will be a long-lasting, free reference tool for students.

The information has been prepared with the financial support of the Society Integration Foundation from the Latvian state budget. The Civic Alliance - Latvia is responsible for the content of the information.
