Civic Society in Latvia: where are we going?

On 28 October from 10:00a.m. to 1:00p.m event "Civic society in Latvia: where are we going?" will take place. Participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the most topical issues in the field of civic society in Latvia and the planned opportunities and activities in 2023. The event will be chaired by Georgs Rubenis, Chairman of the CAL Council.

The event will take place remotely.  Work language of te event - Latvian. To register for the event, please fill in the registration form by 26 October at 5:00p.m.  Confirmation of participation and a link to the online version will be sent the day before the event.

  • ON AN INTERNATIONAL LEVEL Presentation by Inese Vaivare, Director of LAPAS, strategic planning and resilience expert, on the role and opportunities of civic society in the global and international context 
  • ON A NATIONAL LEVEL:  Presentation by Georgs Rubenis, Chairman of the CAL Council, on the most important challenges and solutions in the development of civic society - what has been done so far and what is planned?
  • ON AN ORGANIZATIONAL LEVEL: Presentation by Madara Aldiņa, CAL Public Relations Manager, and Artis Zaļūksnis, CAL Policy Coordinator, on CAL's plans and activities in 2023
