A call to highlight good deeds by nominating people for the Human Development Award

The emergency situation we experienced this year has shown that the society is able to come together during difficult times to provide support to those who need it the most. The Covid-19 crisis has shed light on countless initiatives - good deeds, providing support to those facing difficulties caused by the crises, in the form of provision of social services, volunteering, donations, various corporate social responsibility activities and other forms of support. Civil Alliance - Latvia, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Latvia whishes to thank these heroes by presenting the Human Development Award.

This year, the Human Development Award will take place for the seventh year and it has become a beautiful tradition that honors people, organizations and companies that have found ways to help others facing hardships, to improve the quality of life of other people and the general prosperity in Latvia.

The aim of the competition is to highlight the work done by these great people, organizations and companies for the benefit of society, to honor the promoters of great initiatives and to provide inspiration and a positive example. This year, however, the organizers want to highlight those initiatives that have been put in place to overcome the crisis and provide support to those facing difficult times. We invite residents of Latvia to nominate applicants (individuals, organizations, companies) for the Human Development Award , which will allow to express words of gratitude more widely and louder.

You can nominate people in four categories: For Social Responsibility, For Outstanding Contribution to Education, For Outstanding Contribution to Health and Welfare and For Contributing to the Future of Latvia. More information about the Human Development Award can be found here
